TERRY SMITH JOINS ENCORP AS SERVICE AND SUPPORT ENGINEER FOR WESTERN U.S.

FORT COLLINS, COLO. - March 17, 2008 -- Encorp LLC today named Terry Smith the company's service and support engineer for the Western United States.

Smith, based out of Encorp's Dallas office, brings more than 25 years of U.S. Navy engineering and gas-turbine experience to the job. At Encorp, he is responsible for commissioning and maintaining hundreds of Encorp systems in hospitals, office buildings, manufacturing companies and other industries.

Encorp hardware and software products enable hospitals, manufacturers, office buildings, schools and other sites to reduce energy costs by generating their own electrical power using various fuel sources, including renewables. Microgrid Secure™ is connected to the utility grid.

Encorp's Generator Power Control - or "Gold Box™" -- is the heart of many on-site power systems. The Gold Box™, which is the world's first truly integrated generator controller, allows operators to remotely control and communicate with various engines, generators and the local utility. Encorp digital-paralleling switchgear and Microgrid Secure™ software also are key components of on-site power systems. They allow operators to remotely dispatch, aggregate and control power generators and to interconnect on-site power plants with the utility or operate it solely as back-up power.

Before joining Encorp, Smith was manager of the engineering departments on the USS Shiloh and USS Chancellorsville in Japan, with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He also served as a senior enlisted advisor for the Navy's shipbuilding facility in Puget Sound and as a landing craft craft master in Japan and California. His outstanding work and management earned him the Commander Naval Surface Forces Leadership Award in 2005.
