FORT COLLINS, COLO. - July 21, 2009 - Representatives from Encorp LLC will exhibit at the Electrical Generation Systems Association's Fall Technical and Marketing Conference Sept. 13-15, in Colorado Springs, Colo.

At the conference, a Chicago project that features Encorp equipment will be the focus of a presentation titled, "Applying Micro Turbines and Controls to Accommodate CHP Plants and Smart Grids." The presentation will provide details of two new $21 million "green" police stations in Chicago that feature Encorp's Generator Power Control, or "Gold Box™," which is the heart of power systems at both stations.

Encorp digital-paralleling switchgear and Microgrid Secure™ software also are key components of the Encorp distributed-generation package in Chicago that allows operators to remotely dispatch, aggregate and control each police station's microturbine and generator, and to interconnect the on-site power plant with the utility or operate it solely as back-up power.

Attendees of EGSA's Fall Technical and Marketing Conference are an ideal audience for Encorp, since the company's products control various types of generation equipment, such as emergency generator sets, for various purposes. For example, multiple generator sets can be interconnected with one another, and then to the electrical grid. EGSA's membership represents the largest forum of manufacturers and distributors of generator sets in the United States, and thus, the largest installed base of these assets.
