FORT COLLINS, COLO. - June 15, 2011 -- Encorp LLC today named Dustin Schramm to the company's senior application engineering team where he will play a key role in growing Encorp's well-regarded position as a leader in the nation's New Energy Economy.

A returning Encorp veteran, Schramm brings more than 15 years of engineering experience to the company. At the company's Fort Collins headquarters, he will be responsible for designing, specifying and programming Encorp's innovative Microgrid Secure™ software that connects on-site power systems to create a microgrid, as well as grid-interconnection systems that seamlessly link microgrids and other power systems to the utility grid.

Encorp customers range from military bases to commercial businesses. Cardinal system components allow operators to remotely dispatch, aggregate and control their on-site power generators. In addition, operators can interconnect their on-site power plants with the utility and operate them solely as a site's prime power or as back-up power in the event of a brown out or blackout.

Encorp hardware and integrated software products allow hospitals, manufacturers, office buildings, schools and other sites to leverage energy savings and surety by generating their own electrical power from various fuel sources - whether the fuel is traditional diesel or such renewables as photovoltaics, fuel cells, wind and micro turbines.

"Our microgrid platform is truly the cost effective means to increase power reliability for campus-like environments - federal, institutional and commercial - that want to obtain net zero status," Schramm said. "Encorp's microgrids embody the New Energy Economy."

Schramm holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Colorado State University and held various technical engineering positions before joining Encorp. Most recently, he worked for Wood Group in Loveland as an electrical/design engineer. Prior to his appointment at Wood Group, Schramm held engineering positions at Woodward Governor for nine years.
