Encorp's Microgrid System Controller™ is the industry's first controller to remotely connect existing onsite generators with the latest clean-and-green energy assets - such as photovoltaic systems and microturbines -- and then monitor and control the resulting microgrid.

This industry-leading microgrid controller facilitates the greening of existing buildings that in the past relied on such traditional power sources as reciprocating engines. The controller links existing stand-by gensets to newer forms of energy generation -- photovoltaic (PV), wind, fuel cells, advanced energy storage devices and microturbines -- which ultimately eases demand on over-taxed utility grids and helps reduce greenhouse-gas emissions.

The Microgrid System Controller™ can be configured and modified for any combination of power generators in smaller applications, such as office buildings, laboratories and apartment buildings.

The Microgrid System Controller™ can be customized for a variety of applications, including:

  • peak shaving/sharing;
  • demand response;
  • cogeneration;
  • full-load generator testing (using the grid); and
  • prime-power generation.
